Obituary

Robert M. Curran, 49, of Sandown, NH died suddenly Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at his home in Sandown. Bob was born in Boston, MA on April 15, 1956. He was raised in East Boston where he attended school, including Boston High School. He was proud of his Native American heritage that included Blackfoot and Micmaq Tribes. Bob was a member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Sandown where he previously taught Sunday School. Bob was employed for 18 years for the US Postal Services of North Reading, MA and Nashua, NH. He enjoyed ATV trail riding and many other outdoor activities with his son, Michael.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cheryl (Barry) Curran of Sandown; his son, Michael Curran (age 14) of Sandown, his parents, Michael J. and Phyllis (McMath) Curran of E. Boston, MA, one brother, Ronald P. Curran and his wife, Lynn and their two sons, Christopher and Ian of Highlands Ranch, CO, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Gayle (Buckland) Barry of E. Weymouth, MA, and many other nieces and nephews. He also leaves two sons from a previous marriage, Robert Curran, Jr. and Sean Curran both of E. Boston.
Private burial was in Center Cemetery in Sandown. Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 1st at 11:00am in St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 328 Main St., Sandown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Curran Fund, C/O St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 435, Sandown, NH 03873 (Please make checks payable to the church). The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH is handling arrangements.
