Diane Lynn Kelly was born on April 28 1965 and passed away February 26 2021.
Diane graduated as valedictorian of her class at Bunker Hill Community College and received her Bachelor’s degree from Springfield College. She worked at Goodwill Industries teaching computer science and office skills and worked at the Franklin Park Zoo as a development administrator. She volunteered at UMass Boston teaching card making and writing classes, and was a test administrator at Suffolk University.
She was a voracious reader, writer and genealogy detective, who worked on short stories and a longer story, her family history. She enjoyed art and crafting and made many beautiful objects which she shared with family and friends.
Diane was predeceased by her father, Edwin Kelly and by her daughter, Amelia Grace Stracqualursi. She leaves her mother Mildred Kelly, her daughter Meghan Stracqualursi, her son Anthony Stracqualursi and her grandson Paul Phillips.
Diane is survived by her siblings, Christine Rawson and her husband Charles, her brother David Kelly and her brother Michael Kelly, as well as her former husband Milton Rogers and her stepdaughter Katrina Rogers.
She leaves her loving Aunts Mary Conners, Margaret Baldwin, Doris Ford and Helen Maniadis and her husband Steve, her uncles William Conners and his wife Marilyn, Thomas Conners and his wife Patricia, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and in-laws.
Anyone wishing to remember Diane may do so by donating to Julies Family Learning program South Boston or to the Ronald McDonald House where Diane was hosted during Amelia’s illness. A remembrance service will follow at a later date.
