Obituary

Worcester – Joseph J. Reardon, 80, of Worcester died on Wednesday March 22, in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.

Mr. Reardon is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia E. (Goodwin) Reardon; one son Joseph J. Reardon Jr. of Worcester; five daughters M. Susan and her husband Robert Zack of Worcester, Patricia A. and her husband Anthony Ginese of Worcester, Joan K. and her husband Robert Flury of Sumter, SC, Colleen A. and her husband Michael Raymond of Worcester and Nancy M. and her husband Gary Bayly of Lilburn, GA; five brothers William Reardon of Seattle, WA, Richard Reardon of Boylston, Phil Reardon, Donald Reardon and Gerald Reardon all of Worcester; a sister Virginia McInerny of Worcester; 12 grandchildren Jeffrey, Chris, Meghann, James, Darrell, Erin, Michael, Joe, Paul, C.J., Kansas and Riley; 4 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Reardon was born in Worcester son of Dennis J. and Kathryn R. (Scanlon) Reardon.

He is a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Reardon worked for the Wyman Gordon Co. and then as a truck driver for the former Kelleher & Flaherty Co. He also worked as a courier for the Fallon Clinic.

Mr. Reardon was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Teamsters Local #170 and the Greendale Retired Men’s Club.

The funeral will be held on Saturday March 25 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home on Friday March 24. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Worcester, MA 01610.
