Former Norton Resident

Airel M. (Graves) Strang, 85, of Attleboro formerly of Norton died on Tuesday March 21, 2006 at The Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Norton, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph A. Strang who died on February 16, 1994.
Born in Brownville Junction, Maine on January 17, 1921 she was a dear daughter of the late Harry and Elva (Steeves) Graves.
She was educated in Brownville Junction schools . She went on to graduate from the former Kathleen Dell School in Brookline where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sigma honor sorority.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed as the New England Supervisor for the former W.C. Woolworth Co. She was a part owner of the former Bonnie Brook Ice Cream & Sandwich shop in Mansfield and had also worked at the former Victory Casa Restaurant in Norton.
She was an active member of The Trinitarian Congregational Church in Norton and belonged to the former Whats-So-Ever Club at the church.She was a member of The Order Of The Eastern Star Chapter 47. She was a former treasurer for the League of Women’s Voters in Norton.
Her hobbies included Reading, Crossword puzzles and Politics. She adored her family and grandchildren. She had lived in Attleboro for the past 11 years and had formerly lived in Norton for 43 years.
She is survived by her devoted daughters Sandra M. Boyle and her husband Charles of Norton and Gail A. Tedeman and her husband Mark of Attleboro. Her cherished grandchildren Kathryn A. Tedeman and Matthew D. Tederman both of Attleboro. Her sister Eva Barron of Saratoga Springs, New York. She also was the sister of the late Henry Graves and Argie Edgecomb. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday March 25th at 11:00 A.M. at The Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in The Timothy plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning prior to the services beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
