Obituary

LOWELL—Mary T. (Kallelis) Diamantopoulos, 75 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died Monday afternoon, March 20th, at the Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Arthur L. Diamantopoulos, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage in December of last year.

She was born in Salem, MA, on August 30, 1930, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Claffey) Kallelis, and was a graduate of the Peabody Public School System. She attended the former Lowell Commercial College.

Mrs. Diamantopoulos served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. She had been employed as a Quality Assurance Inspector by Wang Labs, in Lowell and Tewksbury for over 18 years.

Surviving her besides her husband are a son and daughter-in-law: David, and Loredana, Diamantopoulos, of Alexandria, VA; two daughters and a son-in-law: Tina Diamantopoulos, of Dracut; and Angela, and Steven, MacMillan, of Lowell; two granddaughters: Sara MacMillan, and Kalista Diamantopoulos; two brothers: James and Charles Kallelis, both of Peabody; a sister: Alice Beauchamp, of Georgetown; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her gravesite service Friday morning, March 24th, at 11:30 AM at the Lowell Cemetery. At her request there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Lowell General Hospital, Transitional Care Unit; 295 Varnum Avenue; Lowell, MA 01854.
