John McNally, age 90, a longtime Woburn resident passed away peacefully, March 4, 2021 at the Health Alliance Clinton Hospital in Leominster. He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen (Corcoran) McNally. Born in Leitrim, Ireland he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Ellen (Byrne) McNally.
John was raised in Ireland and came with his family to the United States in the early 1950's. He worked for over 30 years for the City of Woburn Public Works Department retiring as a Supervisor for the Water and Sewer Division. Mostly devoted to family he loved to stay up to date in all his family's different events and what was going on in their lives. Prior to the passing of his wife, Maureen, together they enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed spending time in Arizona which was one of their favorite destinations. They also enjoyed dancing and could always be found on the dance floor front and center any chance they got.
John will fondly be remembered for his no nonsense approach to things and his simple demeanor, but most of all his unconditional love of his family.
John is survived by his devoted children, Thomas McNally of New Hampshire, Eileen Mogill and her husband Doug of Derry, NH, Ann Laing and her husband Robert of Billerica, Maureen Rosa and her husband Tony of Saugus, Margaret Vicente and her husband Victor of New Boston, NH, and the late Patricia A. Barker. He was the loving grandfather of Emily and Matthew Mogill, Corinne Laing, Melissa Conway, Kristine Laing, Kimberly Doherty, Meghan Litchfield, Ashley Barrett, Erin and Nicholas Rosa, Sean, Shaylin, Christopher, and David Vicente, Victor Vicente Jr., Bryan Barker, and the late Olivia Vicente. He is further survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Due to the current health pandemic and out of concern for everyone's safety funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Service of Woburn.
