Debra O’Leary (Lyons), age 62, of Dennisport passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 3, 2021. Debra was born in Boston then raised and educated in Braintree. She married her husband, Connie, in 1980 and have cultivated countless fond memories during their 40 years together.
After getting married Debra and Connie settled in Abington where they lived for 35 years. Debra worked for Shawmut Bank for 40 years. After retirement, Debra retired with her husband to their favorite place, Cape Cod. In retirement Debra loved relaxing and spending time with her dog.
Debra will be remembered for her friendly demeanor and ability to brighten anyone’s day even her customers at the bank.
Debra is survived by her cherished husband Connie O’Leary of Dennisport, her siblings Linda Lundquist and her husband Bob of Weymouth and Jim Lyons of NH. She is also the loving aunt of Kate, Mike, Kristin, and Jenn.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Mass for Debra on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 10am in the St. Francis Xavier Church located at 234 Pleasant St. Weymouth, MA. Her burial service will be private at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington. A Celebration of Life service in honor of Debra will be held this summer due to the current viral crisis.
