Obituary

WINDHAM- Joel Edward Sudduth, 34, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2021 at his home in Windham, Maine. Joel grew up in Westbrook, Maine and was the son of Eddie and Victoria Sudduth. He was recently employed by McLaughlin Appliance as an appliance technician. In previous years he worked at SIGCO, Serve Pro and Goodwill industries.
Joel had many past times that he enjoyed. He loved fishing, getting that big catch and telling the story that went along with it. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, drawing, listening to music and attending concerts. Songo Locks held a special place in his heart as it was a place where he and his father would spend time together as well as his grandfather. Joel loved his walks, especially the special walks with his son. They weren’t just walks, they were adventures! The two spent hours exploring the outside without a care in the world. These were the moments his beautiful smile would adorn his face and his blue eyes would sparkle like stars in the night.
Joel had a big heart and touched many lives. He was the first person to help someone out with anything. He would stand up for the underdog, help the person with car trouble in the breakdown lane and search high and low for a missing cat. Joel had a fierce passion for protecting his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and infectious laugh.
He is survived by his partner Rose McKeeman, their son Landen Sudduth, his step-daughters Madison and Caitlyn McKeeman, all of Windham, his son Austin Sudduth of Gray, his mother Victoria Sudduth, grandmother Georgette McKinley, brother Jacob Sudduth and his partner Bradd Datson, sister Julia Sudduth, brother Jared Sudduth, niece Haven Franklin, nephew Jayce Sudduth-all of Westbrook, niece Jovanah Sudduth of Buxton and many more aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Eddie Sudduth, grandfather Roland McKinley, step-grandmother Ruby White and uncle Michael Sudduth.
A celebration of life will occur on June 26, 2021 at American Legion Post 62, 17 Dunn Street Westbrook, Maine from 1pm-4pm.
