NEW BRAINTREE: Stanley M. Dowgielewicz, 76, of Letendre Lane died Monday, March 1 in his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Darlene A. (Gancorz) Dowgielewicz, three sons; John J. Dowgielewicz and his companion Kim Liss, Michael S. Dowgielewicz and his wife Lisa and David A. Dowgielewicz and his wife Jill all of New Braintree, two daughters; Sharon M. Dowgielewicz and her fiancé Mike Rigiero of New Braintree and Christine A. Brewer and her husband Michael of Barre, eight grandchildren; Shelby & Hailey Brewer, Sydney, Brett, Cole, Adam, Connor & Trevor Dowgielewicz, a brother Francis Dowgielewicz and his wife Ruth of Leicester, two sisters; Barbara Englander and her husband Gary of Paxton and Lucia Provo of North Fort Myers, FL, several nieces and nephews and his beloved faithful companion Buster. He was predeceased by a sister Theresa Lampron.
Stanley was born in Worcester, son of John and Stasia (Targonski) Dowgielewicz. He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1963. He was an operating engineer for many years. He was a member of Local 98 Springfield for 14 years and Local 4 Boston for 44 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in North Brookfield. He enjoyed gardening and he also loved his antique tractor collection.
A Memorial Mass with Covid 19 guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 296 Main Street, North Brookfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
