CHICOPEE - Cecile M. Janusz, 84, of the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, March 1, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at the Chicopee Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by the love of her husband, Robert, and her sister, Jeannine and her husband, Howard. She was born in Chicopee on May 6, 1936, a beloved daughter of the late, Clarence and Rita (Laroque) Ricard. She was raised in Chicopee, later lived in Holyoke and Springfield before moving back to Chicopee in 2000. Above all, she loved her family and her many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, Robert P. Janusz. They were married on July 23, 1955 at the former Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls and were blessed with over 65 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three sons, Robert P. Janusz Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Cutchgoue, NY, Richard J. Janusz and his wife, Mary, of Sheffield, MA and Joseph A. Janusz and his wife, Kathleen, of South Hadley, MA; her nine grandchildren, Ryan and Corey, James, Meaghan, Amanda, Melissa and Richard Jr.; and Michael and Kristen; her four great-grandchildren, Violet and Liliana, and Piper and Nicholas; her three sisters, Jeannine R. Patrick and her husband, Howard, of Belchertown, Lorraine E. Patrick and her husband, James, of Chicopee, and Anita C. Bean and her husband, Randall, of Townshend, VT; and her many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Estelle Laverdiere and her husband, Armand. Her services will be private at the convenience of her family.
