HUGHES, Anne “Nancy” (Shea) Of Dedham, March 2, 2021. Age 93. Beloved wife of the late James F. Hughes. Devoted mother of Rosemary Grant and her husband Michael of Walpole, John C. Hughes and his wife Kathleen of Canton, and Capt. James F. Hughes Jr. (USN Ret.) and his wife Kathleen of Virginia Beach, VA. Loving Nana of Kerry, Laura, Shannon, Caroline, Griffin Hughes and Michael Grant. Daughter of the late John and Mary (Armstrong) Shea. Sister of the late Irene Drummond.
Anne was a parishioner and volunteer at St. Mary’s Church, Dedham. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College class of 1949 and worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston and the Dedham Public Schools.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Beth Hammerstrand, NP, Cheryl McDonough, Kathi Hamilton, hospice nurse Sonja, and all caregivers at BIDMC/Needham Oncology.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, March 6 from 11:00am-12:30pm followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 1:00pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Please follow all Covid-19 guidelines. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
