Mrs. Hilda T. Fleszar, age 83, died Tuesday morning in Reading at the Daniel House Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Hilda was born in Boston and was the daughter of the late Amiranda (Possenti) & Mariano Passacantilli. A Medford resident since 1956, she previously lived in the North End of Boston, where she was raised.
Hilda and her family owned and operated the Blue Front Restaurant, Hanover St., Boston for many years. She went on to work for the Polaroid Corporation as an Assembler for 14 years. She retired in 1985.
Hilda was the beloved wife of the late Florian Fleszar. Devoted mother of Eric Fleszar and his wife Jean (McDermott) of Reading, Susan Keefe and her husband Barry of Andover. Loving grandmother of Kirsten Centrella, Jennifer Moynihan and Jessica Wheeler. Also survived by 3 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Adrian DiGiuseppe of Medford the late Delia Pagliuca and Albert Passacantilli. Further survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Hilda´s name to the Alzheimer´s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
