William T. “Bill” Wright, Jr., 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 24, 2006, at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Waldorf officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening.
Mr. Wright was born November 12, 1926, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late William Talley and Emma Lou Deyo Wright. He lived in the community most of his life. Mr. Wright retired as Master Sergeant E7 from the United States Air Force after serving twenty-two years. After his retirement he worked for thirteen years as a Criminal Investigator for the United States Department of Agriculture in Atlanta. Mr. Wright was a member of the American Legion and he was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife: Bertha Drexler Wright of Fitzgerald; son and daughter-in-law: Mark T. & Sharon Wright of Denver, CO; daughter and son-in-law: Debbie & Jim Santiana of Rocklin, CA; 3 grandsons: Matthew, Tyler and Zachary Wright, all of Denver, CO; stepchildren and spouses: Bonnie & Mike Kelly, Dianne & Johnny Luke and Jimmy & Amelia Davis, all of Fitzgerald; 5 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Ray Wright
