Patricia Ann Davy passed away peacefully in her sleep at the family’s ranch in the upper Ojai on February 27, 2021.
Born to John and Cecelia Dale on April 25, 1930, Patty grew up in Ventura and Ojai. She married James Joseph Davy in 1951. In 1960, they had their only child, Joseph.
Patty and Jim (an officer in the United States Air Force) traveled around the country, and the world, throughout their time in the military. They moved back to southern California in 1970 after Jim retired. Patty, Jim, and Joe returned to Ojai in 1976. Patty and Jim were happily married for 57 years until his passing in 2008.
Patty attended daily mass at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church until the last few years of her life. She loved hosting an annual family reunion each Memorial Day at the ranch. The most treasured part of her daily routine was watching her grandchildren grow up on the ranch. She loved playing with them and helping them learn about the world.
Patty is survived by her son Joseph and daughter-in-law Tracey (Ojai), brother Jack Dale (Ventura), six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at 2:00pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
