Obituary

WEST BALDWIN- On 22 February 2021 Walter W. (Jeep) Flint SR passed away at the Maine Medical Center due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease, he was 88 years old.

Jeep was born on 29 February 1932, he was the youngest of 5 children born to Donald and Helen Flint of West Baldwin Maine. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War where received the Purple Heart. He attended the University of Maine.
In 1955 he married Jane Roy and they had four sons, Walter(Spike), Dean, Brad and Douglas.

Jeep loved living in the State of Maine, residing in Standish and West Baldwin. He worked for the Maine State Highway Commission for 20 years and had successful land surveying and real estate developing business well into his seventies.

Jeep was a loving and dutiful son, a great Dad who endured more then a few youthful shenanigans compliments of his four enthusiastic Sons. He was a great neighbor who would do store runs on a snow mobile when Oak Hill Road was covered with snow.

He loved the great outdoors and all it had to offer, dogs starting with Sherman and ending with Christopher, he loved aspects of gardening and was always inquisitive about things he saw.

Jeep is predeceased by his parents, his brother Tom and sisters Mary, Betty and Peg, his former wife Jane and two sons Brad and Doug.

Jeep is survived by his companion of 27 years Marcia Fernald, Walter and Kelly Flint of Gloucester Va and Dean and Audra Flint West Baldwin Me.
His grandchildren Heather Mowrey, Danielle Flint, Joe Flint, Douglas Flint Jr, Aaron Flint, Amanda Boufard, Chad Flint, Kyle Flint , Dean Flint and ten great grandchildren.

Jeep was friend to many and loved by those he befriended, a great Dad and loving companion whose suffering has finally come to an end.

At the end of the day he would appreciate sitting on the back porch enjoying a honker with family, friends and a good dog. Looking out at a big garden with straight rows, no rocks, weeds or potato bugs with sunny days and a light rain at night..
