Mrs. Carol Ann (Bitler) Hill of Saugus, formerly of Williston, VT and Lynn and beloved wife of the late Kenneth W. Hill, passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose on Monday morning, February 22, 2021. She was 78 years old.
Born in Andover, Massachusetts on February 6, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Fredrickson) Bitler.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed. Carol enjoyed working in her garden and had a passion for collecting thimbles from around the world. The wife of an Air Force officer, Carol and husband Ken traveled all over. They treasured their time in Vermont, where Carol enjoyed the scenic beauty and the farms nearby. She always had a love for cows! Her grandchildren have fond memories of coloring, doing puzzles and watching figure skating with their grandmother. Carol had an infectious personality; to know her was to love her.
Carol is survived by her loving children; Donald B. and his wife Janice M. Hill of Peabody, Scott A. Hill of Saugus and his longtime friend Carolyn L. Eaton of Lynn and Timothy B. Hill and his girlfriend Chrissy Holm of Middleton, dear brother; Paul and his wife Doris Bitler of Methuen, sister-in-law; Caroline Bitler of Vergeness, Vermont, grandchildren; Jennifer, Matthew, Ashley, Nicholas, Nathan and Madison, great-grandchildren; Elena, Lucas, Ryleigh, Emma, McKenna, Tyler Jr. "TJ", Theodore and Brianna and several nieces and nephews.
