Jon Warren Look, retired architect, of Charlton passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the comfort of his home.
He leaves his wife, Barbara (Worcester) Look of Charlton; a son, Christopher and his wife Candice; and two grandchildren, Jake and Nichole of Dudley, MA.
He was born in Boston, MA. on March 1, 1938, the only child of Cleveland and Phillis (Blake) Look . He grew up in Quincy, MA., graduating from North Quincy High School in 1956. He attended Boston University for one year. After enlisting= for three years in the U.S. Army he graduated after a year of study from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA., and served as an intelligence analyst/linguist in Europe for the U.S. Army Security Agency. Beginning in 1960 he attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., receiving his Bachelor of Architecture in 1965. During his attendance at Pratt he was recalled to active duty for six months for the Berlin Crisis of 1962-63.
As an architect he specialized in master planning, design, and construction of projects for industrial, pharmaceutical, and life sciences facilities as well
As for university and Department of Defense research laboratories.
He enjoyed serving for a time as the architectural critic for the Boston Business Journal, as a thesis advisor at the then Boston Architectural Center,
and as a studio design guest critic at Harvard and MIT.
There will be no funeral services or calling hours.
