Obituary

Bridgewater- Phyllis M. (Dubee) Rose, 69, of Bridgewater died Friday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Roger R. Rose.

Born Nov. 23, 1936, in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Josephine (Quinn) Dubee, she was a graduate of Bridgewater High School, Class of 1954, and Bridgewater College.

Mrs. Rose was a secretary in surgical booking at Goddard Medical Hospital, Stoughton, and also at Bridgewater Visiting Nurses.

A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, she was a former CCD teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a former member of the Bridgewater Historical Society.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by two sons, Robert R. Rose of Shapeigh, Maine, and Thomas E. Rose of Brockton; her brother and sister, Frank Dubee and Theresa Michelewicz, bith of Bridgewater; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister to the late Dorothy and Josephine Dutra, Arthur, Zephrin, Robert, Priscilla and Richard Dubee, Mary Johnson and Gertrude Daniels.

Her funeral will be held at 8:15 am Tuesday from Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 in St Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
