Barbara Jean (McNamara) Ringdahl, age 90, of Revere passed away on Monday, February 22nd. Born in Atchison, Kansas, she was raised and educated in Everett, the daughter of the late John and Anna Mae (Lombardi) McNamara. After graduating from Everett High School, Barbara worked for many years at the former Bank of New England in Boston. Barbara’s favorite pastimes were knitting and shopping. She was also an avid reader.
Barbara was the longtime loving companion of David Meaney of Revere, and the beloved wife of the late William R. Ringdahl of Everett. She was the devoted mother of Susan Colameta and her husband James of Everett, Eric Ringdahl and his wife Debra of Peabody, Timothy Ringdahl and his wife Joyce of O'Fallon, Illinois, Dana Ringdahl and his wife Debra of Everett, and Glenn Ringdahl and his wife Barbara of Malden. Barbara is survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the dear sister of the late Patricia, Joan and Sharon.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, March 1st at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, February 28th from 4 through 6 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Social distancing protocols will be observed throughout the services.
