Edith (Salvatore)Currier, 85, of Johnston, formerly of Greenville, died Saturday, March 18, 2006. She was the wife of the late John L. Currier. She was the grandmother of the late Corinne M. Verity.
She was a cashier for the food service department at Bryant College for 15 years before retiring in 1986. She had previously worked for General Electric in Providence in the Payroll and Accounting Department.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen A. Verity of Johnston, a brother Angelo Salvatore of Newport Richy, Florida. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anna Cardente, Frances Nardolillo, Vincent and Alfred Salvatore.
Memorial mass at Friday 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Burrillville. Visitation Thursday 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc., 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
