Alfredo Araujo of Roslindale, more recently of Brockton, originally of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic passed away February 16, 2021. Beloved husband of Dulce Olivo De Araujo for over 35 years. Devoted father of Alfredo Jr. Araujo, Scarlet Mercedes Araujo, Ana Aurelina Araujo, and Officer Alfredo Araujo (BPD). Loving grandfather of Gabriella, Marcu, Amelia Sophia, Scarlet Marie, Anabelle Jade, and Lucas. Brother of Narcisa Mercedes “Sisa”.
Alfredo was a civil engineer in the Dominican Republic, before moving to the U.S. He was a longtime faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale. He cherished his friendships with fellow parishioners and the clergy. Alfredo will be remembered for his generous hospitality, his kind encouragement and sound words of advice. He loved to spend time with his family, friends and loved ones. He was described as the life of the party. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Friday, February 26th from 3:30-7:30pm. Please follow all covid-19 guidelines. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, February 27th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 10am (maximum church capacity due to covid restrictions is 100). Interment St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
