Brenda E. Boyle
Loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother
TEWKSBURY: Brenda Edith (Felgate) Boyle, age 78, a resident of Tewksbury for over 50 years, passed away at her home in the care of her family and hospice on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Boyle, Sr with whom she celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on December 12th, 2020.
Born in Ipswich, England, of the United Kingdom, on January 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Albert Felgate and the late Edith (Spilling) Felgate.
Brenda was raised in Ipswich, England and graduated from the local high school.
In 1964, she came to the United States and settled in the Lowell area. Brenda moved to Tewksbury in 1968, where she raised her four children.
Brenda enjoyed traveling to her homeland to visit family, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will lovingly be remembered for her quiet manner, quick wit, practical jokes, and keen sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Mark McCarthy of Lowell, Theresa Madore of Methuen, and Julie Kelly of Tewksbury; four grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Scott, and Derek; her siblings, Gloria Smith, Robert Felgate, Alan Felgate, Gerald Felgate, and Josie Benn, all of England. As well as many extended family.
Brenda was the mother of the late Michael McCarthy, who passed away on October 11, 2017.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. In adherence to State Covid-19 guidelines, capacity limitations, masks and social distancing are required.
