Obituary

Maria L. ”Lady” Pina, 67, of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Monday February 15, 2021.

Born in Wareham the daughter of the late Agnes (Rose) Pina and John Andrade, Sr., she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Lady was formerly employed as a hairstylist at Cameo Beauty Salon in Downtown New Bedford. She was a graduate of LaBaron Hairdressing Academy and had studied in Boston and received a Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to the beach, and taking family vacations.

She is survived by her children, Stacy Pina and Dion Pina; her siblings, John Andrade, Eddie Pina, Rodney Pina, and Rosemary Pina; six grandchildren, Larissa Pina, Janelle Ramirez, Tyrell Pina, Deja Pina, Devon Pina, and Aidon Pina; and four great-grandchildren, Sahnya, Nay’lani, Syhir, and Xayla.

She was the sister of the late Clinton Pina, George Pina, Melvin Pina, Robert Pina, and Jeffrey Pina.

Her visitation will be held on Sunday February 21, 2021 from 2-4 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St, New Bedford. Due to current gathering restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
