Obituary

Lorraine (Carr) Larson, 89, of Franklin died February 14 in Milford Regional Medical Center following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Larson who died in 2002.

Born in Boston , February 16, 1931, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Wall) Carr, Mrs. Larson was raised in Dorchester and had lived in Franklin since 1964.

Lorraine was a graduate of St. Margaret’s Nursing School in Dorchester.
A Registered Nurse, she had worked at St. Margaret’s Hospital and Norwood Hospital.

Lorraine enjoyed knitting, reading, ceramics and trips to Cape Cod and Las Vegas.

She is survived by her children, Jayne Larson of Franklin, Deborah A. Gosselin and her husband John of Franklin, Robin J. Baker and her husband Peter of Swanzey, NH, Judith L. Larson of Franklin , Charles P. Larson of Franklin, Thomas F. Larson and his wife Charlene of Franklin, and Eric R. Larson and his wife Erica of Blackstone.

She is also survived by her siblings Ruth Ann Dedian of Hingham, Thomas Carr of Milton, Richard Carr of Florida, and the late Paul Carr.

She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be on Friday, February 19 in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00

Burial will be in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com ) 131 Main Street Franklin.
