West Palm Beach, FL - Kevin M. Sullivan, age 52, a well known building contractor and member
of a prominent Tewksbury family, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Mar. 20, at Palm West
Hospital in West Palm Beach, from an apparent heart attack. He was the husband of Kathleen
(Jarnagin) Sullivan, with whom he had celebrated a 33rd wedding anniversary this past November
5th.
He was born in Lowell, on July 3, 1953, a son of Jeannette (Martin) Sullivan of Tewksbury, and
the late John F. Sullivan, the former Police Chief of Tewksbury. He was raised in Tewksbury and
graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1971. He had lived in
Tewksbury the greater part of his life and recently moved to the Fort Hill area of Lowell. He had
divided his time over the last few years between his home in West Palm Beach and Lowell.
He had worked as a Tewksbury Firefighter and E.M.T. while establishing and maintaining a home
construction company. His business became very successful, forcing him to resign his firefighting
position to devote all his attention to his construction business.
He was recalled by friends for his keen sense of humor, his warmth and sincerity to those he met,
and his passion for the game of golf.
He was a member of the Longmeadow Golf Club, the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge #
2070, and a lifelong communicant of St. William’s Church.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Alicia Menchi and
her husband Joseph of Pelham, NH, Jaime Sullivan of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Kevin “Buddy”
Sullivan of Billerica; thirteen brothers and sisters, Barbara Field and her husband John “Jack” of
Cape Coral, FL, John “Jack” Sullivan and his wife Jane (Berube) of Andover, Dorothy “Dottie”
Flanagan and her husband William “Bill” of Dracut, Brian Sullivan and his wife Barbara
(Connerton) of Lowell, Harold “Harvey” Sullivan and his wife Michele (Dockray) of Tewksbury,
William “Larry” Sullivan of Manchester, NH, Mary Collins and her husband Shawn of
Manchester, NH, Michael Sullivan and his wife Jean (Hudson) of Henderson, NV, Kenneth “Ken”
Sullivan and his wife Karen ( Willard) of Methuen, Jeanne Rosberg and her husband Walter
“Wally” of Haverhill, Maureen Paolini and her husband Frank of Danville, NH, Nancy O’Connor
and her husband John of Merrimac, MA, and Neil Sullivan of Boston; two brothers-in-law, Kevin
Jarnagin and his wife Leslie of Tewksbury, William “Billy” Jarnagin of Haverhill, and many aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also brother-in-law of the late Maureen (Jarnagin) Dykeman.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Mar. 25, St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial in Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorial to American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street
