Marianne (Barbrick) Foote
Of Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY: Marianne (Barbrick) Foote, age 78, resident of Tewksbury, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of Francis “Butch” A. Foote, Jr. who passed away on December 14, 2009. Marianne and Butch were residents of Everett for more than 30 years. Marianne later developed Alzheimer’s and moved to Tewksbury in 2015 to be closer to her daughter.

Born in Boston on February 14, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George Barbrick and the late beloved Caroline “Carrie” (Ragusa) Barbrick.

Marianne lived and worked in Southie for many years. She often shared her fondest memories of Sunday dinners with family and friends first at her mother’s and later at her sister Rita’s.

She also enjoyed shopping, crossword puzzles, traveling to Foxwoods Resort & Casino. Marianne especially loved telling stories of the old days, and cherished the companionship of her family and friends.

Marianne was quite a character and an amazing woman. She was genuinely loved by all and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Deanna White and her husband Raymond and their children Jonathan and Casey Dean, Joseph and Kevin White, all of Tewksbury; her son, David Barbrick and his wife Michelle and their children Joseph, Nicolas and Madison Barbrick, all of Derry, NH; her sister, Eleanor Skinner of New Mexico; nieces, Linda Shea of South Boston and Gena O’Hara and her husband Timothy and their children of Weymouth.

Marianne was pre-deceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Lester Korb of Revere, and her best friend and sister, Rita Shea of South Boston.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb 17, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home. Private interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Masks and social distancing required at all venues. In leu of flowers donations honoring her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
