Caron Rose Tait of Ventura, California passed away at the age of 79 on February 4, 2021. Born in Chicago and grew up in Portland Oregon, she graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She was Lt. JG RN in the Navy. Caron worked as a public health nurse for Ventura County for 30 years. Caron was married to her second husband, Edward Tait, for over 20 years. She was active in The Ventura Genealogical Society for over 20 years, serving as president for 4. She was an avid adventurer with her partner of over 10 years, Phillip Crow, traveling and riding bicycles throughout Europe, paragliding in Switzerland, and studying genealogical history across the globe. Caron was a voracious reader and enjoyed toiling over puzzles with her family and her lifelong friend Sally. Snuggling on the couch with a good book and Mr. Peaches was her idea of a perfect day. Caron is survived by her life partner, Phillip Crow, children Shirley Howell, Geoff Herbert, Eddie Tait, and 9 grandchildren.
