Obituary

Lisa Joy Lewis-Goodman, 50 years of age, of Andover, MA formerly of Stoneham, MA, passed away on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021.
Born in Malden, MA in 1970 to Binnie (Cohan) Lewis and the late Harvey Lewis. Lisa graduated from Stoneham High School ’88 and later received her bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She eventually arrived at and spent many years as a Collections Manager for Merrimack Valley Credit Union.
Lisa had many talents - she was bilingual, artistic, a gifted cook and a fantastic baker, with an unerring accuracy with finances, among many other skills - and many interests, including travel, reading unmemorable paperback novels, dining out, family, friends, and only specific animals (primarily giraffes and cavapoos.) She was involved in many charitable activities and events, and generous with time and energy for those things she believed in, such as Emmaus House (women’s shelter) and the Credit Union Kids at Heart. Everything she touched was improved by that touch, from polishing boring office policies to creating glamorous skating costumes. Lisa doted on her niece and nephew, attending every dance competition and hockey game possible. Recently, Lisa won the inaugural Passion Award from MVCU for demonstrating commitment to colleagues and compassion for credit union members.
In 2009, Lisa became the better half to her better half, Bradley Goodman, and in the process, created a union much stronger than the parts. Nevertheless, she continued to be the loving daughter of Binnie Lewis of Stoneham and dear sister of Jay Lewis and the late Pamela Lewis, as well as daughter-in-law to Phyllis Pagano of Athens, GA. Lisa was the devoted aunt of the previously-referenced Amanda Lewis and Josh Lewis. She became the loving stepmother to Nina Goodman of Somerville and doting aunt to Henry Goodman-Hao. Lisa is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Wendi Hutchinson of Milford, brothers- in -law Jeffrey Goodman of San Francisco, CA, and Mitchell Goodman of Alameda, CA. Additionally, Lisa is survived by many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donation’s in Lisa’s memory may be made to the ELC Foundation (http://elcfoundation.org). Sharing written remembrances and condolences during this difficult time will be essential in helping the Lewis-Goodman family reminisce, celebrate and heal.
