Accursio aka Gus Sanfilippo age 81, passed away due to Covid complications on January 29, 2021. He was born, July 12, 1939 in Sciacca, Sicily. Gus was a lifelong commercial fisherman whose home port was Boston. He was known for his love of life, love for his family and friends and his passion for the sea. Gus is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Vera Sanfilippo, children Margaret Sanfilippo, Angela Sanfilippo, Donna Sanfilippo, Gus Sanfilippo, Dina Scianna and her wife Ana Miranda, grandchildren; Stephen DelSonno, Danielle Freese, Anthony Freese and Steven Hatchcock. Due to Covid restrictions, a mass and celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Gus’ Memory in lieu of flowers to:
