Mark Metheny, 65, of Shirley, Mass., passed away on February 2, 2021. The son of a Methodist minister, he was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Alice, in Sidney, Ohio. They attended Ohio University together before moving to Massachusetts, where Mark worked as a software engineer for 40 years. Mark’s greatest passions were lived outside of the 9am–5pm, however: music, cooking, golf, country line dancing, skiing, yoga, hiking, camping, kayaking, mountain climbing, and talking with friends over a glass of wine. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, three siblings, and 16 nieces and nephews.
