DOWD, Michael Paul (BPD Ret.) of Stoughton, formerly of Jamaica Plain died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 28, 2021 at the age of 77. Married for 54 years to his high school sweetheart Theresa L. (O’Donnell). Loving father of Pamela Dowd of Stoughton, Carla Dowd of Brockton, and Joseph Dowd (BFD) and his wife Sheila of West Roxbury. Proud Grampy of Jason, Brady, Mickey, Josie and Dickie. Devoted son of the late Joseph Dowd and Doris (Maloney). Michael was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the 1st Calvary and retired from the Boston Police after 36 years. He loved boating on Boston Harbor and his trips to Aruba with his wife and family. Most of all he loved his family and flag. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, February 2nd at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Monday 3-7pm.
