Obituary

Andrew (Andy) James Oulton, aged 91, of Walpole, MA passed away on Sunday January 24, 2021 at his home with his family by his bedside. He was born May 20, 1929 in Kingston NY to Francis and Anna (Carroll) Oulton. He is predeceased by his wife Ann (Steinberg) Oulton, 9 brothers and sisters and his son Danny Oulton. He is survived by his daughter Ellen Boudreau and her husband Kevin of Walpole and his son Michael Oulton and his wife Maryellen of Attleboro. He was the cherished grandfather of Dan Boudreau and his fiancé Megan Perrault of St. John USVI, Katie Duclos and her Husband Dan of Walpole, Andrea Oulton of Foxborough, Jessica Oulton of Brighton and Olivia Oulton of Denver, CO. He was the great-grandfather of Makenna Duclos, Olive Duclos and Hudson Boudreau.

When Andrew was a child in Kingston, NY he worked many jobs including snow shoveling, hauling coal ashes and he and his siblings would sing and dance to earn money to support the family. He was a caddy at The Twaalfskill Club where he eventually became a bartender, a job he continued later in college and in semi-retirement at the Barleycorn Pub in Walpole. Andrew was drafted into the Army and served from 1951 – 1953. After the army he moved to Boston to attend Boston University where he met Ann. They married June 1, 1954. He retired from Sharon Bolt and Screw in Ashland and spent his retirement days traveling with Ann and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to share a joke and sing songs, especially with his ‘ole pal Richard.
