Obituary

Auburn- Cynthia L. Nordgren, 65, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 23, 2021. She leaves her partner Robyn Obermeyer of Hudson and her father Robert Nordgren of Auburn; a sister Susan Horgan of Westborough; a nephew, Matthew O'Connell and his wife Lori and their children Carter, Chloe and Cayla O'Connell, of Austin, Texas; a niece , Ashley Vandenberg and her husband Ian and their son Cooper Vandenberg, of Kyle, Texas. Also, a special family, Rebekah Obermeyer and Shawn Stead and Makaylah and Jakob, and Jeremiah Obermeyer all of Hudson.

Cindy was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert and the late Lorna L.(Mansfield) Nordgren. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Worcester State College. She worked as a graphic design artist for many years. She enjoyed photography, music and going to the ocean and mountains and visiting the tall ships when they came into harbor. She loved Hawaii and was able to go there and take many photographs. She loved to cook, especially for her family and friends. She also was in many marathons and triathlons and was very proud to have run the New York Marathon. She was a kind, caring person and always willing to help. She was the life of the party with her funny stories and fun to be with. She will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her.

There are no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
