Mrs. Laura Bellino, age 92, died Thursday evening March 16, 2006 at the Eastpointe Nursing Care Center after a brief illness. Born in Swampscott, Laura was the daughter of the late Lucia (Mattera) & Michael Mattera. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Bellino. Laura and Vincent were married for over 50 years before his death in March of 1995.
Mrs. Bellino worked for over 20 years at Donna Louise Sportswear Co. of Boston as a Stitcher, she retired in 1982. She was also a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Born and raised in Swampscott, Laura moved to East Boston when she got married. She also lived in Malden and most recently Medford, since 1989.
In addition to her beloved late husband Vincent, Laura is survived by her devoted children Vincent Bellino and his wife Roberta of Medford and Lucille DiLoreto and her husband Jay of Saugus. Loving grandmother of Paul Bellino, Lynne Bellino, James DiLoreto and Dawn DiLoreto. Also survived by 3 loving great grandchildren. Sister of the late Gertrude Colombo, Palmer Alleruzzo, Mary Puleo, Joseph Mattera and Theresa Mayo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. John Church, 178 Humphrey St., Swampscott at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Swampscott Cemetery.
It has been requested that as an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in Laura´s name to the Alzheimer´s Association Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
