Elena V. Grasso, died Thursday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, after a extended illness.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Angelina (Cataldo) and Enrico Grasso.Elena owned and operated Elite Tailoring of Boston before her retirement in 1985, and was a 45 year member of the International Lady Garment Workers Union.
Surviving in addition to her long time companion John A. Santoro of Medford are two cousins Maria D. Champoux and Morosa Meriano both of Revere and many other cousins.
Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Monday, July 22 at 10 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting Hours at the funeral home are Sunday 4 thru 8.
