In Remembrance of
Genevieve (Gen) Theresa Peterson
of Maplewood, MN. who passed away January 14, 2021
at the age of 97 at Croixdale Assisted Living in Bayport, MN.
Genevieve was born in Manannha Township, Eden Valley, MN. on February 8, 1923 to the late George and Rose (Kramer) Hahn. She was a devoted wife to husband Andrew (Andy) L. Peterson for 56 years until his death in 2006. She is survived by her three children; Duane (Linda) Peterson, Dean (Brenda) Peterson, Rita Jean (Bill) Fornell, grandchildren Chris Peterson, Brenda Samec, Melanie Knies, Heather Landon along with 7 great grandchildren. Gen enjoyed a long and successful career as a Ward Secretary at St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She loved her home and made sure everything was always perfect. She also loved to entertain her family and friends, especially on the holidays. Gen loved Christmas and the winter months along with feeding and watching all the birds. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Gen dearly loved her family and had a strong presence in their lives. She was a faithful member of Transfiguration Catholic Church for 65 years and truly loved the Lord and her faith. Preceding her in death are her sisters, Evelyn Yanish, Rita Buis, Bernadette Flynn and brother George Hahn Jr.; She is survived by sisters, Esther Strode, Theresa Rose, and brother Larry Hahn.
