Ann L. (Donahue) Hayes, age 83, of Brockton, died January 16, 2021 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Ann was the wife of the late Edward B. Hayes. Lifelong of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Charlotte (Blood) Donahue. Ann was a graduate of Brockton High School and worked at the Brockton Public Market and Shaw’s Supermarket for over 30 years.
For many years Ann and her husband Ed were members of the Thursday Night Bowling League. She enjoyed family gatherings, music, cards and time spent with her grandchildren and sister.
Ann was the mother of Lori Hayes and Edward Hayes both of Brockton; grandmother of Brendon and Ryan Hayes and the late Michael E. Fermino and sister of Joseph Donahue of Middleboro, Patrick Donahue of Florida and the late Robert, Michael and Helen Donahue, Charlotte “Sissy” Parenteau and Julia Chamberlain. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, January 23 from 9:30-10:30am. A private family service will be held at 10:30am, followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery. In following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed with a maximum of 25 people in the funeral home at any one time.
