Pauline H. (Schutze) Ruel of Mattapoisett formerly of Dedham and Dover passed away March 16, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. She was 82. Mrs. Ruel was born in Boston and was the daughter of the late Arthur P. and Lumina Schutze. She was a graduate of Dedham High School class of 1940 and Burdett College. She was a devoted wife and mother and worked with her husband running the family business, Consolidated Heat and Power Inc., for 25 years.
She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Ruel Sr. for 63 years. Loving mother of Edward J. Ruel Jr. and his wife Deborah of Mattapoisett, Dr. Jon A. Ruel and his wife Joan of Mattapoisett, Steven D. Ruel and his wife Joyeuse of Mattapoisett and Dr. Paula Ann Ruel of Franklin. Devoted grandmother of Edward J. Ruel III of Fairhaven, MA, Heather Marie Ruel of New Bedford, Rachel Ruelof Mattapoisett, Jon A. Ruel Jr. of Newport, RI, Jason Ruel of Seattle, WA, Philip Ruel-Klein of Franklin and Joseph Ruel-Klein of Franklin. Great grandmother of Edward J. Ruel IV, Jillian Ruel and Jenna Ruel all of Fairhaven. Sister in law of Jeanne Ruel Howley of Dedham. Cousin of Felice Farland of Worcester.
Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham, on Monday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours omitted. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
