LOWELL—Edward F. Bushnell, 84 years old, died unexpectedly, at his home. He was the husband of the late Kathryn A. (Flynn) Bushnell and the late Frances (Keegan) (Rogers) Bushnell.
He was born in Lowell, on October 26, 1917, a son of the late Edward and Laura (Hallett) Bushnell, and was graduated from Keith Academy and Bentley College.
Mr. Bushnell served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed as a Meat Manager by the Alexander’s Market Stores for over 25 years and more recently as a Real Estate Salesman by the Century 21 Sager Real Estate Company, in Lowell.
He was a longtime communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, and was a member of the 125th Anniversary Committee of the parish. He was also a member of Long Meadow Golf Club and Pleasant Valley Golf Club, in Sutton.
Surviving him are a daughter: Kathryn B. McCarthy, of Lowell; a son and daughter-in-law: Edward J. and Dorothea Bushnell, of Chelmsford; four grandchildren and their spouses: Meredith L. and Michael Simpson, of Columbus, GA; Michael and Debbie Bushnell, of Groton; Robert and Janice Bushnell, of Dunstable; and Kenneth and Julie Bushnell, of Groton; four great-grandchildren: Anna, Joseph, James and Sarah Bushnell.
Friends may call on Sunday,July 21st, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered MondayJuly 22nd, at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
