Norma D. Penney of Revere, formerly of Winthrop, passed away on January 17, 2021, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was 81 years old. Born in Melrose, she was the beloved daughter of the late Fred and Constance (Healy) Penney. She was the dear sister of the late Eugene C. Penney and the loving aunt of Mary K. Haque of Middletown, CT and Brendan Penney of Hamden, CT.
Norma was a graduate of Winthrop High School-Class of 57. She graduated from Colby Junior College in 1959 and from Lesley College in 1961.
Norma was an elementary school teacher in the Woburn Public Schools, in Woodbridge, England and in the Everett Public Schools. She was a long time member of the Delta Psi Omega, a national dramatic sorority.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service to be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11AM with Fr. Walter Connelly officiating. Please meet at the gate.
