Lotario Medeiros, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his residence after a period of declining health. He was born November 26, 1944 in Criciúma, Brazil and was a son of the late Pedro Medeiros and Sautira Fermina. He was raised and educated in Brazil where he lived most of his life. Lotario and his wife Carolina, relocated to Londonderry a few years ago to be close to their family.
Mr. Medeiros was employed most of his life as a manager at the coal mines for Carbonífera Criciúma S/A. He was an avid soccer fan and was president of the local club for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.
Lotario is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolina de Souza Medeiros and their devoted children, Edemilson Medeiros and his wife, Maria de Lourdes, Everton Medeiros, and Edivania Medeiros; he also leaves behind four grandchildren Andrei, Alan, Julia and Anna Carolyna, and three great-grandchildren, Marcelo, Lorenzo and Giovani.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4 to 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. Due to State of NH guidelines, all guests are required to wear masks, minimize contact and maintain social distancing. After cremation, he will be returned to his beloved Brazil for burial.
