DUGGAN, Charles A. Of Dedham formerly of Brighton, born in Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland, January 16, 2021. Beloved husband of Sheila (O’Riordan) Duggan for 55 years. Devoted father of Katherine Spagnoli and her husband Stephen of Burlington, Lynda Ciarcia of Salem, NH, and Daniel J. Duggan and his wife Pamela of Medfield. Beloved “Umpa” of Ryan and Eric Spagnoli, Madison and Jason Ciarcia, and Samantha, Charlie, and Danny Duggan. Brother of Alice Miller and her husband Chuck of CA, Dolly Lawlor, Jackie Duggan and his wife Helen, Betty Roche, and Michael Duggan and his partner Christina all of Ireland, and the late Jimmy Duggan, Esther Duggan, and Breeda Donnelly. Son of the late Daniel J. Duggan and Catherine (Meehan) Duggan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Charlie’s greatest joys in life were spending time with his grandchildren and going for long walks with his beloved dog, the late Bonnie. He enjoyed many years of coaching in Oak Square Little League and singing in the Our Lady of the Presentation minstrel shows. Charlie also loved sharing a drink and a story with his many friends both here and in Ireland.
Due to the pandemic a private Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham and live streamed on the church website on Friday, Jan. 22 at 10:00am, please go to stmarysdedham.com. However, a celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so.
