Obituary

WORCESTER - Mrs. Helen (White) Gallati, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday January 15, 2021 at UMass University Campus. Helen was born in Millbury, Massachusetts on December 23, 1938 a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Beaudoin) White. She was the loving wife of fifty-five years to the late Joseph J. Gallati whom she lost on February 22, 2019.
Helen was raised in Millbury and was educated through the Millbury schools. In 1964 she married her husband Joe and they moved to Worcester to make their home. She worked at Paul Revere Insurance for many years up until the start of her family. From that point she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her loves included country music, playing the organ and her loving cat, Charlie.
The Gallati family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all the care givers for the professionalism, care and the love Helen received from them all. Helen’s children want to share their love to their brother Steve, who was the primary caregiver for their mom, Helen. Steve was Helen’s best friend, a dedicated son and caregiver who gave everything he had to provide the best care and love for his mom.
Helen was predeceased by three brothers, Edward “Butch” White, William White and Richard White. Also by her in brother in laws, Robert Gauvin and Lawrence Bourget.
She is survived by her sons, Steve Gallati, Fran Gallati and his wife Elizabeth, John Gallati, three daughters, Marcia Gallati, Tracy Gallati and her husband Elmes Rivera, Lisa Dileo and her husband Vincent; her two sisters, Eleanor Gauvin and Mary Bourget; four sisters in law, Rose White, Roberta White, Dolores Mazzone and her husband Michael, Yolanda DiMonopoli, nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St John’s Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St John’s cemetery. For those attending, facial coverings are respectfully required and social distancing measures will be in place.
