Phyllis A. Cotterill, 76

Dateline: Little River, South Carolina.

Phyllis A. (Brauner) Cotterill, age 76, of Little River, South Carolina, formerly of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and care of her family on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the home of her son in Foxborough. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles D. “Chuck” Cotterill, to whom she was wed for over twenty years at the time of his death in 1994.

Born in Boston, MA on March 6, 1944, she was a loving daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Anderson) Brauner.

Phyllis grew up in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of Saint Clare High School in Jamaica Plain. Prior to retiring, she had worked for nineteen years as a Human Resources Coordinator at the former Texas Instruments in Attleboro.

Mrs. Cotterill had made her home for the past six years at the Country Lakes Retirement Community in Little River, where she was active in community events and made many new friends. She loved spending time with her adoring family and while residing in Norton, was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church. Phyllis also enjoyed playing Bunco and Mahjong, traveling, cooking and hosting get-togethers.

She is survived by her devoted children: Anne Marie Ferioli of Fall River, Frank J. Teixeira and his wife Emily of Oregon, Katherine A. Poirier and her husband Matt of Somerset and Steven J. Teixeira and his wife Julia of Foxborough. She was the dear sister of the late Frederick Brauner and Linda Reynolds. She was the cherished grandmother of Jen, Samantha, Jason, Matthew, Nathan, Nicholas, Brian, Anthony, Cole and Austin and the great grandmother to 4 great granddaughters. She was the loving companion of Ron Patterson and is also survived by 1 niece and 3 nephews.

Services, along with burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
