Words cannot express how heartbroken we are to tell of the passing of Carmen Gomez-Lee. She passed peacefully in her home the afternoon of January 14, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her devoted family at the time of her passing. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carmen will be missed terribly by all.
A lifelong resident of Ventura, CA, Carmen was deeply involved in her community, her church and devoted to spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She was the epitome of all that is good in this world. She will be missed by all but especially the love of her life and partner in this world, Joseph, and their wonderful mix of children: Heidi, Michelle, Son-In-Law Daryl, Scott, Daughter-In-Law Joelle, Joseph, Jr., Daughter-In-Law Lisa, John, Daughter-In-Law Terri; treasured grandchildren: Devon, Samantha, Nicholas, Scotty Jr., Sunny, Cheyenne (husband: Alex), Morgan (husband: Patrick, daughter Oakley), Garrett, Cameron, James Joseph (JJ), Colton, Hannah, Heather, Trevor and Mitchell; siblings Edward Gomez, Fred Gomez and Helen Gonzales and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Luis Gomez and Delores Gomez and siblings: Robert Gomez and Mary Velasquez.
Thank you to all our family and friends that have supported us through this unimaginable time – you’re a blessing to us, and we are all so very grateful to have you in our lives. Our sweet Carmen was taken too soon, far too quickly and she will ALWAYS be in our hearts. God has another angel in heaven.
A Rosary to be held at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, Friday, January 22nd at 2pm. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 10800 Henderson Road Ventura Monday, January 25th at 11am.
