Richard G. Horne, 39, of Winchester, died suddenly March 15th . He was the beloved husband of Kristin E. (Smith) and the devoted father of Remy Horne of Winchester. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Richard and Nancy (McCarthy) Horne.
Richard attended Weymouth High School, where he graduated with the class of 1984. Following High School he enrolled in Framingham State College where he earned his Associates Degree and was subsequently employed with the Property Mangagement company Boyd-Smith, Inc. of Boston where he worked for 20 years. He was currently working towards a degree in History at Boston College.
Rich was a life-long Red Sox fan who also enjoyed music and his late black lab dog “Boo”.
Rich was the dear brother of Patricia Horne of Franklin, Donna Cerkez of Weymouth, Christopher Horne of Abington and Kevin Horne of Wilbraham. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 20th in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Sunday from 2-6PM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
