Raymond E. Casavant, 78, of Indian Run Trail, Smithfield, passed on Friday January 8th in the Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the husband of Annette C. (Bernier) Casavant. They had been married for 36 years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth (McConaghy) Casavant. He had lived in Smithfield for 33 years previously living in Johnston.
Raymond was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a wsrehouse manager with Moeller Manufacturing.
He was an avid basketball and tennis fan. He was a member of the VFW in North Providence and the Smithfield Senior Center.
Besdies his wife, Annette (Bernier) Casavant, he leaves a step-son Stephen Lariviere married to Shelley Lariviere and their two sons Tyler Lariviere and Alexander Lariviere of West Warwick, his sisters, Debbie McGrath of Cumberland and Marie McVeigh of Attleboro.
