
ALICE P. LARNER
ALICE P. (PARKER) LARNER, age 95, a homemaker, died Wednesday March 15, 2006 at her home in Braintree following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Redmond J. Larner. Born in Boston, the daughter of the late I. Joseph and Josephine (Wasgatt) Parker, she was raised and educated in North Quincy and was a 1929 graduate of Quincy High School. Following her marriage in 1939, Mrs Larner moved to Neponset where she lived until 1988, when she moved to Braintree. During her working life, she was employed by Tubular Rivet Co. in Quincy. An avid Bingo player, Mrs. Larner was a member of the K Club and was active in Brownies, Girl Scouts and as a Band Mother with St. Ann's Band in Neponset. Mrs. Larner is survived by three daughters; Claire Garvey and her husband Stephen of Rockland, Virginia Larner of Paris, France and Alice Larner of Braintree. She was the Grandmother of Kathleen "K.C." Cowing and her husband Michael of Hanover and Anne deFornel of Paris and the Great Grandmother of Michaela Cowing of Hanover. She is also survived by her sister; Marion Trop of South Weymouth as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Chandler. Funeral Services will be held on Monday Mar. 20, 2006 at 10 A.M. in the O'Donnell & Mulry Funeral Home, 138 Neponset Ave., Dorchester. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4 - 8 P.M.
