Salem: Cynthia K. (Turner) Bedard age 73 of Salem, died Thursday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Alfred H. Bedard, Jr., with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Spartenburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Eula May (Crow) Turner. She met her husband while he was stationed at Donaldson Air Force Base in Greenfield, SC. The couple married in 1953 and settled in Salem in 1955. Cynthia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved cooking sewing and ceramics. She was totally devoted to her family. She was a member of Ste. Anne Parish of Salem.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Alfred H. Bedard, III & his wife Cheryl of Sutton, Charles A. Bedard & his companion Christine Caldwell of Marblehead, 3 daughters: Rebekah M. Bedard of Salem, Rachel A. Winstanley & her husband Alan of Wakefield, Ruth E. Scott & her husband Wayne of Swampscott, a brother: Robert Turner of Moore, SC, 2 sisters: Naomi Williams of Roebuck, SC, Mary Ellen Busch of Minnitonka, MN. Cynthia is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Chelsea, Olivia & Alexander Bedard, Seith & Casey Bedard, Dustin Kikuchi, Caitlyn Winstanley, Jacob, Joshua & Jonah Scott. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Gayle Lee of Roebuck, SC. She was predeceased by a brother John E Turner and a sister, Nellie Ruth McAllister.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Monday at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Sunday 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
