Tiverton, RI – Alton P. Smith, 74, of Tiverton, RI died Thursday, March 16, 2006, unexpectedly at home. He was the husband of the late Lois E. (Knowles) Smith.
He was born in Fall River, son of the late Alton S. and Marion (Palmer) Smith, and had resided in Tiverton for most of his life. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, Mr. Smith was a service technician for N.C.R. of Fall River prior to his retirement in 1983. He was also an avid gardener.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Lynn Perrault of Tiverton, Pamilla Smith of Tiverton and Barbara Westbrook of Clayton, GA; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Robert S. Smith.
Graveside services to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton, RI at 10:00 A.M.
